We carefully cultivate our Primosole mandarins and harvest them strictly by hand to offer you a daily concentrate of Sicilian sunshine. Primosole is a citrus fruit discovered in Catania, in the lands surrounding the Simeto river, between the 1980s and 1990s.
Its name derives from the locality of Primosole, as well as from its early ripening: it is indeed the first mandarin to ripen right after summer. The autumn season opens with sweetness.
Sweet, juicy, easy to peel, seedless
Primosole has the typical oblate shape of mandarins, and its thin rind is orange in color, deepening as the harvesting period progresses. It is a mandarin that wins you over with its sweetness and juiciness, seedless, and easy to peel: picked and eaten.
Perfect for snacks and light bites
One segment leads to another: Primosole is irresistible to eat fresh and is a great idea for snacks and light bites. Like all citrus fruits, it is also ideal for preparing desserts and marmalades, but that’s not all: try it sliced in salads!

Our packhouse, our farmland, and the orchards of our growers are located in this magical corner of Sicily, and it is along Via Elorina that our produce begins its journey.
Elorina tells the story of our land, organically farmed for over 30 years, and the journey we have traveled and will continue to pursue to advance our organic agriculture and biodiversity preservation project. Elorina is the heart of BioSikelia.
