The PassPartù Project: goodness knows no seasons
Why eat imported oranges when you can choose 100% organic, high-quality Sicilian oranges?
Thanks to the dedication of BioSikelia agronomists and technicians, in collaboration with the University of Catania, we are working to offer you perfect oranges all year round.
Partuvalla is the Sicilian word for oranges: a project bringing the perfect orange to your table in every season could only be called PassPartù! Arancia Elorina was born right here.

Oranges all year round!
BioSikelia already guarantees a very wide production calendar: we harvest our oranges from October to July, but we don’t stop there.
The “Oranges all year round” project was launched in 2017 to meet two major needs. The first is to expand the orange production calendar and offer a continuous supply to our customers, reducing the need to import produce from abroad. The second is to ensure greater job stability for our workforce, both in the fields and in the packhouse.
Indeed, a longer marketing calendar means more durable and secure employment for those who share our passion for agriculture and our oranges.
With this vision, we began planting early and late orange varieties, continuously experimenting based on our expertise and in consultation with expert agronomists and technicians.
In 2023, the project took a further step forward thanks to our collaboration with the University of Catania. Together with Professor Alberto Continella, Professor of General Arboriculture and Fruit Tree Crops, we are testing new orange varieties and new storage methods to offer you quality organic oranges all year round, while keeping respect for the land and for people at the core of our work.
Buying Sicilian oranges without resorting to those imported from the Southern Hemisphere also means reducing the ecological footprint of your grocery shopping, adding even greater value to choosing organic.

It takes a team to make an orange
From identifying the varieties to plant and monitor to sampling and quality analysis, from field harvesting to packhouse processing and order management: behind the PassPartù project and Arancia Elorina stands the entire BioSikelia team, deploying its full expertise every day to give you the sunshine of Sicily.
You’ve met Elorina, now let us introduce everyone!
