Sicily is the land of citrus fruits, where lemons and oranges reach a quality that is unique in the world. However, the corner of Trinacria where we are located has soil and climate characteristics that yield vegetables with extraordinary organoleptic qualities. Indeed, our adventure in organic farming began precisely with vegetables: only later did we add citrus fruits to our certified productions, which today represent our flagship crops.

Today, BioSikelia produces citrus fruits and vegetables according to a production calendar that meets the needs of all our customers in terms of assortment, quality, and product availability throughout the year.

We dedicate 405 hectares to tree crops, which in addition to oranges and lemons also include tropical fruits such as avocado and mango. Tropical crops, which have doubled over the last two years, cover about 3% of this area.

We dedicate 105 hectares to vegetables, with 60 hectares in open fields and the remainder under protected cultivation. Zucchini and fennel are the crops to which we dedicate the most area, followed by carrots, potatoes, and green beans.
