Thanks to the extraordinary characteristics of the lemon varieties typical of our land and selected by us, we are able to harvest excellent organic lemons year-round, with fragrant peel and optimal juice percentage.
The processing method involves manual harvesting at the right stage of ripeness, sorting and mechanical sizing, washing with drinking water, and packaging in food-contact suitable containers, without post-harvest treatments.
Femminello Siracusano represents the most important variety in the Italian and European lemon growing landscape. It is known for its high re-flowering ability, which allows the plant to produce in multiple periods of the year.
- Primofiore (October – April): elliptical fruits, thin peel, very juicy pulp rich in citric acid. It is the most prized production.
- Bianchetto (April – May): light yellow fruits with a slight green tint, smooth peel, less rich in juice than Primofiore, but highly appreciated for their freshness.
- Maiolino (May – June): light green fruits with a yellow tint, smooth peel, less rich in juice than Primofiore, but highly appreciated for their freshness.
- Verdello (June – September): fruits characterized by green peel even when ripe, due to growing in a period without significant day-night temperature variation. Indeed, it is the winter temperature swing that determines the shift in the lemon peel color from green to yellow. They have good shelf life and complete the summer offering.
The plant is moderately vigorous, with a compact canopy and constant productivity. The fruits are distinguished by the richness of essential oils in the peel and high concentration of vitamin C, features that make it a product of great value for both fresh consumption and industry.

Serving suggestions and recipes
Although its most popular uses are seasoning meat or fish and preparing desserts or liqueurs, lemon is an extremely versatile ingredient, characteristic of the Mediterranean diet and suitable for many other recipes, such as lemon risotto or spaghetti with lemon and breadcrumbs (mollica), a typical Sicilian dish. It is also perfect for decoctions and detox herbal teas, and grated lemon zest adds a touch of freshness to many dishes.
