On Thursday, May 14, we welcomed the young people from the DunAdenzia Association to our farm—an important Sicilian organization based in Bagheria that has been working for years toward the social and workplace inclusion of young people with autism spectrum disorders.

aking care of the land we live on isn’t just about working the fields, but also about committing to a more sustainable future for everyone—and that is why supporting an association like DunAdenzia is an integral part of our work. We asked our agronomist Francesco, who together with our technical manager Ketty organized this day at the company with the young people of DunAdenzia, to tell us how it went, and here is what he wrote to us:

We cultivate talents, we harvest independence!
For BioSikelia, inclusion is not an abstract word, but an experience made with hands in the soil. We had the pleasure of hosting the young people of the DunAdenzia Association, an extraordinary organization that supports young people with autism spectrum disorders on their journey toward independence. From the warehouse processing lines to the delicate task of harvesting organic green beans: the young people put themselves to the test with dedication and precision. Because for us, it is not about “filling time,” but about sowing real skills and building, together, a life project. The grand finale? A special snack prepared by our friends at Casa di Melo, washed down with freshly squeezed juice from our organic oranges. A synergy of flavors and values that tastes good… in every sense.
